Leave the little ones at home, as the hotel’s intimate, boutique vibe gives you all the fancy romance feels.
Rich Italian marble, cool slate, brushed copper, tanned leather, and lots of mirrored and reflective surfaces – the new InterContinental Singapore Robertson Quay makes for a gorgeous backdrop for insta-mums looking for a glam getaway right in the heart of the city.
But leave the little ones at home, as the hotel’s intimate, boutique vibe and residential-inspired concept by award-winning architectural firm SCDA gives you all the fancy romance feels.
The hotel is located at the quiet end of dining and lifestyle enclave Robertson Quay, in place of the old Gallery Hotel, and we love how peaceful, private and discreet it is, despite its prime city location.
There are 225 studios and suites (mostly business travellers) and every room comes with a cool cocktail kit by Proof & Co, along with a selection of spirits to help get you in the mood.
You can order in breakfast in bed or head to the 24-hour Club Lounge for brekkie, which also serves a complimentary selection of afternoon tea delights and evening cocktails crafted upon request.
Instagrammers, you won’t want to miss Publico Deli, the charming Italian delicatessen where guests can tuck into a greater breakfast selection. Doll up in your 1920s best because every corner of this space channelling New York City’s West Village vibes is seriously Insta-worthy.
There are lots of other dining options in the vicinity, including the hotel’s in-house Italian restaurant and bar, Publico Ristorante, serving up Italian classics with a laidback vibe – and just as Instagrammable as its chic sister next door. Ask for a table by the riverfront in the romantic alfresco area prettified with fairy lights.
Wolfgang’s Steakhouse by Wolfgang Zwiener is a New York institution and another fab dining option located within the building. The hotel is also home to exclusive private members’ club 1880 on level 3, so exclusive that even hotel guests aren’t allowed to pop in to take a peek at its handsome and much-hyped interiors. If you’re looking to up your Instagram game, we suggest you try anyway!
There’s a small lap pool if you fancy a dip (not much of a view, though), and a street-facing fitness studio on the ground level so you don’t have to miss a workout. But we’d recommend just staying in and luxuriating in this chic hideaway from home.
