Dad Crush: Rob Dyrdek

One of the most influential skateboarders of all time and reality star, Rob Dyrdek is our dad crush this week.

Rob picked up skateboarding when he was just 11-years-old and received his first ever sponsorship from professional skateboarder, Neil Blender not long after. At 16, Rob quit high school and moved to Southern California to pursue a career in professional skateboarding.

The skateboarder represented skate brand, DC Shoes and had been sponsored by them for 20 years until the sponsorship ended in 2016. He has also been sponsored by Silver Trucks, EA Skate and Monster Energy.

He starred in the MTV reality series, Rob & Big from November 2006 to April 2008 and later in, Rob Dyrdek Fantasy Factory in 2009.  He has been featured in video games Skate and Skate 2.

Being business savvy, Rob started Street League Skateboarding an international competition for professional skateboarders. His portfolio includes production company, Superjacket Productions as well as a hip-hop record label and skate shop.
