Breast cancer is the most common cancer among Singaporean women in the last 50 years. According to the Singapore Cancer Registry, breast cancer remains the most common cancer diagnosed in females. Furthermore, it is the leading cause of cancer death in women in Singapore*. Every October marks the Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM), a national campaign to raise awareness for this cause. Here are ways you can help support this meaningful cause this year.

Skin Inc X Nightbirde Foundation

Skin Inc is partnering with the Nightbirde Foundation, a non-profit organization, to help bring hope and healing to women with breast cancer. This campaign is inspired by Jane Marczewski, Nightbirde, a singer/songwriter that battled breast cancer. She had won the hearts of the world on America’s Got Talent with her song “It’s ok.” Through her hope, courage and determination, she was able to defy the odds. Given only three months to live, she was able to survive for two more years with hope and mental strength.

The average treatment for breast cancer is between S$75,000 to S$100,000. 20% of the sale of Skin Inc’s My Daily Dose of Uplift will go towards women in need of life saving treatments. With your help, they hope to achieve their goal of S$100,000. This will not only allow another woman to get the treatment she needs but the message of being strong and resilient.

Estée Lauder Companies Breast Cancer Campaign

Estée Lauder Cosmetics (ELC) has been able to support women here, with the Pink Ribbon and Breast Cancer Foundation’s (BCF) initiatives, during their journey towards recovery for the last 30 years. This is a significant milestone for such a good cause.

It’s not just Estée Lauder products that get the pink treatment every October. Iconic landmarks around the world are dressed pretty in pink to help raise awareness for breast cancer. This year, ELC is working with BCF to illuminate our very own Merlion in pink. Held from 16 October to 13 November 2022, head down to snap a shot and post a photo of the icon with the hashtag #TimeToEndBreastCancer!

You can pledge your support by purchasing products under Estée Lauder Companies. These include Estée Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair Serum available on Lazada, iShop Changi, and Estée Lauder counters islandwide. Another icon that’s been reinvented for the Breast Cancer Campaign 2022 is La Mer’s The Moisturising cream as well as Jo Malone London’s Peony and Blush Suede Cologne.
