Alecia Beth Moore (better known as P!nk/Pink) is known for her strong signature voice and acrobatic ability on stage. She also happens to be a multi-award winning pop-rock princess. Pink may have first debuted nearly two decades ago, but this mum, who has two gorgeous little ones, is still dazzling audiences with her amazing stage presence.
Pink started out as part of not one but two R&B groups, Basic Instinct and Choice, but both fizzled out just as quickly as they started. The talented singer then went solo and released her debut album, Can’t Take Me Home in 2000, which propelled her into the limelight. The album was a smash hit and she was awarded Best New Pop Artist at the 2000 Billboard Awards and was nominated in two other categories.
Fast-forward 17 years and she has over 42 million in worldwide album sales, five billion worldwide audio streams, 3.3 billion worldwide video streams, Platinum certification for her album The Truth About Love and double Platinum for Funhouse. We haven’t even listed the awards that she has gotten – three Grammys, two Billboard Music Awards, six MTV Video Music Awards. Pink was also named Billboard’s Woman of the Year in 2013.
And she doesn’t look like she’s going to be resting on her laurels anytime soon. She is releasing her seventh album, Beautiful Trauma, in October 2017 and will be receiving the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the 2017 VMAs.
Perhaps the best indicator that the public can’t get enough of her is that her concerts are always packed and tickets are usually sold out.
As big as Pink’s voice is, her heart and belief in justice are even bigger. She stands up for and participates in the causes she believes in, using her social media platforms to help spread awarenesses.
Pink’s relationship with her husband, Motorcross star Carey Hart, has been a roller coaster ride. The two started dating in 2001, have broken up twice but each time eventually managed to work through their issues and this year, they celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary, with two kids in tow.
This yummy mummy is a strong advocate for normalising breastfeeding and is very public about it. On her social media, you’ll spot numerous photos of her breastfeeding her youngest child Jameson, whether she is while she is getting ready for an event or in the middle of her hike. She’s not one to shy away from controversial topics and chooses to stay true to herself and her beliefs, which makes her a great role model.
Her heart of gold seems to have rubbed off on daughter Willow as well. Most kids would want to keep the profits from their lemonade stands, but the six-year-old decided to donate her earnings to a “high kill shelter” – mum didn’t think that was such a good idea and they ended up donating to a “no-kill” shelter instead.
Willows first lemonade stand. She's been asking me for months. She wants to donate the $ to a "high kill shelter". I didn't have the heart to tell her that that wouldn't be a good idea lol. So we're donating to a "no kill shelter". She made the lemonade with hand squeezed fresh lemons (39 of them) and homemade chocolate chip marshmallow surprise cookies. (Pay no attention to the chips ahoy, we ran out early) I love this little bean. #shemadebank #langefoundation
Despite her rebellious appearance and refusal to conform to the norm, Pink puts family first above everything else. She shared in an interview that she loves “being a mama”, and “made a choice a long time ago that I was going to have a successful family, and that is my absolute number-one goal in life”.
Mom. Mama. Mommy dearest. You've taught me that love is a lifetime of coming back to the table. No one can ever truly know the wells of love, and pain that reside in a mothers heart. How she aches for her children, what she gives up over and over, how her mind never quiets, sleep never comes peacefully or completely. How her heart is ripped open and made bigger. Every cell of her being is rearranged. I see you, Mom. Thank you.
We think she deserves all the success she’s had, and can’t wait to see what this fun-loving mum gets up to next.
@hartluck Happy Birthday My Love. The weight you carry and the strength you have has always fascinated me. What you've accomplished in your life (the impossible, many many times) and what you continue to do (invent, live, love, forgive, alchemize) is incredible. You, my dear, are incredible. You're gorgeous inside and out (we know) -you're the good egg that never cracks. We love you to the moon, the sun, we'd follow you anywhere. I wish you enough this year. Enough rain to be able to feel the sunshine. Enough laughter to make the tears not sting so bad. You're my grateful.
