With over 435,000 followers on Instagram, it’s safe to say that Marion Caunter is a bonafide social media star. Just scroll through her feed and you’ll have tons of inspiration for outfits, whether it is for a casual high tea gathering with your friends or for a hot date-night; you’ll even find outfit ideas for the kids. Gorgeous outfits aside, this mum-of-three has definitely made a name for herself and is on a roll!
She has come far since her days as a host on The Quickie in the early 2000s and scored one hosting gig after another, including regional shows such Channel V, E! News Asia and Biggest Loser Asia. Marion has also added the titles of business owner, social media maven and of course, being the mummy of three adorable little ones to her long list of accomplishments.
She’s so popular that you can often spot her in magazines on both the cover and in the features page inside.
She’s well-known in the fashion world as well and was the only Malaysian woman to be given exclusive front row privileges at the 2017 Paris Fashion Week. A true fashion chameleon, Marion can pull off many looks perfectly, such as this outfit that she wore on a night when she went out looking for chicken wings after L’Officiel Malaysia’s party. Her shot in the streets of Jalan Alor looks like it belongs in the fashion pages.
Whether she’s dressed in a tee and flared pants, lounging on the grass in sweats or getting all dressed up for a wedding in traditional garb with a modern twist, Marion always looks nothing less than stylish.
We guess a love for fashion naturally parlays into a passion for great hair too and in 2013, Marion entered into a business venture with celebrity hair stylist Shaun Yap to open Hairplay. The salon is now a favourite amongst royals, local and international celebrities, and high profile clients alike.
She puts her influence to good use by supporting many causes close to her heart as well, such as taking part in the Buro 24/7 Charity Market back in 2015. She was also the ambassador for 2014’s Pink Charity Run, where she helped spread awareness on breast cancer.
This year, she helped spread awareness on cervical cancer, something which she said has affected many loved ones her, which is what pushed her to do something about it, no matter how small.
Cervical cancer is the second most common cancer and the fifth cause of cancer deaths among women in Malaysia. Let's take action by not just going for regular Pap smear screenings, but also talking to our doctors for better protection. Marion married SM Nasarudin Nasimuddin (Nasa for short) in December 2010, after the pair dated for five years. Back in 2010, she mentioned in an interview with The Star that part of her meteoric rise in her career was due to the support and encouragement from both Nasa and her mother, who kept reassuring her when she had her doubts.
The two of them are still madly in love, and we must say that their bond has become even stronger with the birth of their three kids – five-year-old Leia Rose, three-year-old Lana Rose, and one-year-old Liam Naza.
Since she’s a very hands-on mum, Marion’s little ones can often be spotted on her feed, where can be spotted dropping them off at school, or visiting daddy’s office for the day.
After a 2 month long summer break, my kiddos are finally back at school today. Dropped them all off with mixed emotions. Happy cuz this mama doesn't need to find ways to entertain them all day but sad cuz they're growing up so quick! Time flies. My daily reminder – enjoy em while they still want you hanging w them. Love you my babies. ???
Lana and Leia seem to be taking a leaf out of their mum’s style book and they can often be seen dressed in stylish matching outfits. Of course, when your mum is Marion Caunter, we expect nothing less.
We can’t wait for more style inspiration from this beautiful mama!
