Mummyfique and CRIB Society jointly hosted the second edition of Table Talks: The Shine Edition at the Club Lounge at Amara Singapore. Around 30 ladies and business owners gathered for this event, to gain valuable insights for their businesses from the three expert panellists. Hence, they could learn to make their businesses stand out and shine in their industries, over a brunch spread of artisanal bakes and tea. Following the speed-dating format once again, guests were divided into three groups, for 20min sessions with each panellist.

Our Panellists

Each of the panellists took turns introducing themselves and their businesses. Dalia Chan, Managing Director and Senior Trainer of Speech Titans, said, “The panelists all spoke confidently and eloquently and it showed me the importance of fine tuning my 1min introduction of my business and myself to properly network at such events.”

After two years of online transactions, interacting through WhatsApp, LuxLexicon also has a flagship brick-and-mortar store at Palais Renaissance. Thus, customers can pick up the item, touch and feel it before committing to their big-ticket purchases. Most recently, Carousell acquired LuxLexicon to help each other mutually supercharge their luxury bag businesses in Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan. With this acquisition, they would be able to offer more variety of bags and recommend interested consumers to each other.

Sabrina Tan, Founder of Skin Inc
Sabrina Tan, founder of Skin Inc

Unable to find products that worked for her then-sensitive, dull and eczema-prone skin condition, Skin Inc CEO and founder Sabrina Tan also found that most market brands only addressed generic skin needs. Moreover, they did not account for any individual differences or constantly changing skincare needs. Hence, she created Skin Inc, providing custom solutions to skin concerns. Now in its 16th year, Skin Inc has won more than 150 beauty awards, with more than 15 million personalised LED home facials. Some innovations include the +SABI AI App, the first wellness and skin health in the market, as well as the newest De-Age LED EMS Skin Booster. Additionally, the brand is also present in more than 78 cities in Asia, Europe and the United States.

All the gemstones are handpicked, chosen for their cut, rarity and quality. Additionally, the diamonds are also of E-F colour with VVS quality. Together with specialised artisans worldwide, the brand creates storied gems of timeless, wearable art celebrating individualism.

For the avid gemstone lover, Simone Jewels also offers a variety of masterclasses for pearls, emeralds, unheated vs heated gemstones and design.

Our Guests

Anabel Chew, founder of WeBarre shared, “Spent the morning connecting and learning from other female founders. Crib Society Table Talks is the best thing! I wished there was something like this when I first started out nearly a decade ago – the road to entrepreneurship is challenging, but what people don’t realise is that it’s extremely lonely and isolating. Having fellow founders who understand it all, and are going through similar things, make the journey less arduous. Thanks Tjin Lee, Mummyfique and Gidania Wong for organising this – I’m RSVP-ing for all future sessions!”

Angeline Lim, founder of SavvyMama, shared, “Florence was so candid with her sharing and it was helpful to be able to ask all our panelists questions pertaining to growing their businesses so that we can implement similar strategies to ours too.”

Similarly, Rachel Wee, founder of Oh Hello Bae, said, “It’s great to have up close interaction with these speakers. For me, in particular, the insightful advice and tips from Sabrina of Skin Inc is so valuable for my own skincare business.”
