For many who grew up in the 80s and 90s, they would be familiar with our dashing dad crush, Jimmy Lin. He first debuted at the tender age of 17, became an overnight sensation overnight and he has been stealing hearts ever since.
Nicknamed Little Whirlwind, he was the youngest singer to hold a concert at Hong Kong Coliseum, the first singer to perform within Suntec City’s Fountain of Wealth, and he completed a world tour within the first year of his debut. Though he celebrated his 25th showbiz anniversary earlier this year, he hasn’t slowed down his pace, having added professional car racing, businessman, husband and dad-of-three to his list of achievements.

Aside from music, Jimmy is a passion for fast cars, and has been racing since 1997. His passion for life in the fast lane is truly admirable – he was once in a near fatal car crash, where his car exploded just seconds after he mnaged to crawl out of the wreck. The incident didn’t make him give up and instead he continues to strive to be an even better driver.

It must have been thrilling for the racing fan to meet and interview Michael Schumacher for GQ Shanghai, and he did a great job, considering that he conducted the entire interview in English, which isn’t his first language!
Racing also led Jimmy to his wife Kelly Chen, whom he met during a racing event. The pair got married in 2010, after their son Kimi, who happens to share the same first name as Finnish racing driver, Kimi Raikkonen.
In 2015, their little family grew with the addition of twins Jenson and Kyson.
Jimmy is definitely an involved and doting father. His official Facebook page is full of images of himself and his three boys, with everything from time lapse pictures of him and eldest son Kimi recreating older photos to images of the three boys playing together.
