Fashion icons, brand ambassadors and world-famous models flocked to California for the Coachella music and arts festival, which kicked off this weekend.
As well as getting down to the sound of The Weeknd, Beyoncé and Jamiroquai, stylish stars stayed true to form, changing their looks several times over the course of the day to show off their finest hippie-chic fashion. Here are of some of the standout looks spotted April 13-15 at Coachella.
Brazilian supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio is one of the trendiest celebrities at Coachella. A regular at the music festival, the model shines each year with her highly honed and ever-changing looks. This year was no exception, with the model already spotted in sexy swimwear, a Dior cowgirl getup and retro attire.
In particular, the model caused a sensation in a hippie-chic outfit of multicolored crochet shorts with a fringed, cropped denim jacket, worn with loads of bracelets and vintage-style sunglasses.
Lais Ribeiro and Jasmine Tookes – two inseparable Victoria’s Secret Angels – also turned heads at the festival with outfits combining comfort with boho-chic style.
With Lais Ribeiro dressed in white and Jasmine Tookes in black, the pair stepped out in low-cut crop tops, worn either with frilled pants or a light, loose skirt. Jasmine Tookes topped off the look with a hat.
Rihanna – another fashion icon and festival regular – didn’t go unnoticed at this year’s event. The singer, who threw a pool party over the weekend, shared two of her festival looks on Instagram. While one of the looks seems improbably uncharacteristic, doing little to flatter the star, the other is a sleek 1960s throwback.
Dressed all in white, the “Diamonds” singer rocks leather pants with metal details running up the sides, worn with a matching jacket knotted just under her cleavage. What better way to stand out at the event?
Social media’s most popular model (with more than 132 million followers), Kendall Jenner, clearly didn’t need to go too overboard to get noticed at Coachella. Perhaps that’s why the star opted for a streetwear-style look with a sportswear vibe, totally on trend, but contrasting completely with the festival’s looks.
The American model also wore a waist pack, this summer’s hottest accessory, which is also proving a hit at Coachella.
