Pongal Festival 2017

It’s not just during Deepavali that the streets of Little India come to live at night with beautiful lights. To celebrate the Pongal Festival, a traditional harvest festival for the Tamil community, Little India will be transformed with exhibitions, harvest demonstrations and folk performances, with a special light up when the sun sets. It’s worth taking the minis out to learn about cultural rituals such as the making of kolams, and they’ll also have the chance to get up close at personal with the cows, bulls, calves and goats at the mini animal farm.

Venue: Campbell Lane
Date: 7  to 15 January
