Trendy Tot Tuesday: Princess Charlotte

By Samantha Jong
October 4, 2016

Having just wrapped up her first royal tour in Canada last Saturday, Princess Charlotte captured our hearts with her toothy grins, girly outfits, and wide range of expressions. It’s no wonder she was our team’s top pick for trendy tot of the week!

As The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's tour of Canada draws to a close, we would like to share a video with special moment's from Thursday's children's party – thank you Canada for an incredible week! The Duke of Cambridge also has a message of thanks to share. His Royal Highness said: "Catherine and I are incredibly grateful to the people of Canada for the warmth and hospitality they have extended to our family over the last week. We have loved our time in British Columbia and Yukon and will never forget the beautiful places we have seen and the many people who have been kind enough to come to welcome us in person. We feel very lucky to have been able to introduce George and Charlotte to Canada. This country will play a big part in the lives of our children and we have created such happy memories for our family during this visit. Canada is a country of optimism, generosity and unrivalled natural beauty. I hope we have helped all Canadians celebrate what makes this country great. We will see you again soon." #RoyalVisitCanada

Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge made her royal entrance into the world barely a year and a half ago, and it’s amazing how much she’s grown. Her full name honours Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cambridge’s sister Pippa, Prince William’s mother Princess Diana, as well as Queen Elizabeth the Second.

At her christening, she wore the same christening gown worn by six royal babies before her — how meaningful!

Fast forward to today and she has grown into a cherubic little angel who is always dressed in picture-perfect outfits fit for a princess. The Duchess seems to love dressing her daughter in smock dresses paired with socks and Mary Jane shoes during the warm months. She switches up the socks for leggings and adds a cardigan during the cooler months.

Charlotte is definitely a natural princess. She already has her royal wave down pat, along with a charming smile.

Cheeky and adorable, Charlotte has a wide range of expressions, not unlike her older brother George. The one with her nose all scrunched up is our favourite!

The little one also seems to have an adventurous streak and has no qualms cuddling a bunny or sticking her nose right into a bouquet of flowers.

Just look at those huge, marble-like eyes! We imagine that it’s really hard hard to say no to those eyes, but with such loving, down-to-earth parents, we’re sure Charlotte would grow up to be a lovely English Rose.
