Places To Break Fast With The Kids

It’s currently the holy month of Ramadan and breaking fast together with family and friends is an important part of tradition. Here are some places you can go to break fast with your kids.

21 On Rajah

21 On Rajah’s special Iftar Lauk Kampung dinner buffet aims to provide a family dining experience with a special Mediterr-Asian spread consisting of comfort food for the whole family. Familiar dishes such as Beef Rendang, Ikan Pari Assam Pedas and Nasi Dagang are available, and there is even a churro and chocolate fondue station that minis will love. Go on Saturday to enjoy the special BBQ menu that includes deliciously grilled Chicken and Beef Satay with Condiments and Ayam Panggang. The menu on weekdays (Monday to Thursday) and weekends (Friday to Sunday) differ slightly, so do take note of that!

Price: Mondays to Thursdays – S$45++ per adult, Fridays to Sundays – S$50++ per adult. Kids aged five to 12 are entitled to 50% off, while kids under five dine for free.

AquaMarine

AquaMarine is known for its halal-certified buffet spread, and this Ramadan is no different. Feast on Grilled Salmon with Rempah and Spicy Coconut, Wagyu Beef Oxtail Rendang. On Fridays and Saturdays, you’ll get to feast on a Balinese Roasted Whole Baby Lamb. Families can enjoy a 30 per cent discount on the Iftar Buffet when you produce a printed 4R family photo. Do note that the promotion is applicable for families with a minimum of four and maximum of eight members.

Badoque

If you and your family feel up for Asian fusion, Greek and Mediterranean fare, head over to Badoque, where the food comes in huge portions that are perfect for sharing. They recently introduced a Ramadhan menu just for patrons for Iftar, and have expanded their menu to include everything from Japanese rice bowls to pizzas, pasta and steak.

Fika

Swedish food that’s halal? Only at Fika Cafe. Though there’s no special Iftar menu, parents can try delicacies such as the pickled herring platter, gravlax sandwich and långedrag, while little ones can tuck into the kids menu featuring Swedish meatballs and kids ham and cheese toast. End off the meal on a sweet note with some kladdkaka (Swedish brownies) or Swedish pancakes.
