Que Pasa Mamis! If you have a soft spot for cuisine of the Mexican variety PLUS need a kid-friendly vibe so you can savour that well-deserved glass of Mojito, then check out the freshly revamped Super Loco on Robertson. They’ve freshened up and introduced a whole new menu that is set to delight.

We had a chance to try out the menu and we think its fab, so grab the kids (or leave them home) and head on down to Super Loco this week for all things Mexican. Here’s our quick review of this gem.

Super Loco is a modern-Mexican restaurant that can be found right along the waterfront of Robertson Quay. Founded by Brothers, Christian and Julian Tan, and good friend Ajay Parag, they all shared the love of Mexican food and culture.

The arrangement of the restaurant was set up really nicely and the ambience of Super Loco felt really cosy. If you decide to head down with your kids, there is a spacious open area outside the restaurant where your kids can play, and scoot or cycle.

With the recent upgrade, Super Loco revamped and refreshed their menu, making it more ideal for sharing. You can expect to see new dishes including the Tostaditas de Res ($16+) which features sirloin, chipotle mayo and leek as well as Almejas Al Guajillo ($21+), a delicious medley of clams with jalapeño, pico de gallo and smoked bacon.

For Taco Tuesdays, try sharing platter Pimp My Taco, a platter with six tacos and a variety of salsa. Make your taco how you like. For the sweet tooth not skimp on the Affogato Mexicano ($12+), a scoop of vanilla ice cream drizzled with a mix of chocolate sauce, espresso, Los Danzantes reposado mezcal and Cynar Liqueur.

If you’re headed for brunch, there is a Super Loco Breakfast Taco ($18+) option too. It is your traditional breakfast with a Mexican twist-packed inside a taco. Give their Elixir De Vida a try – a health elixir shot that’s full of nutrients from superfoods and antioxidants, acai berries and ginger.

There’s no dedicated menu for the kiddos except during brunch but they are happy to assist you in making great choices the kids will love.

Super Loco will leave you spoilt for choices for date night, drinks with friends or a place to unwind with the kids.
