Our mum crush this week shot to fame for her roles in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Memoirs of a Geisha, and has since added numerous roles and magazine covers to her ever-growing list of accomplishments. She was recently revealed as one of the 15 stars chosen to be in the 2017 edition of the annual Pirelli Calendar, shot by famed photographer Peter Lindbergh, and she’s a doting mother to boot! Yes, we are talking about the very graceful and very beautiful Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi.

This feisty firecracker of a woman had a busy 2015. Not only did she get married to rocker Wang Feng, she also gave birth to her daughter Xing Xing (which means awaken). Xing Xing was officially introduced to the public back in April (2016), when the couple shared pictures of the baby’s 100 days celebration via social media.
She’s also recently gone back to work, doing a cover shoot for Elle China, during which she even brought her step-daughter Manxi along. What a great way to bond!
Doesn’t she look gorgeous?
Prior to this, she has also been featured on Vogue China, where she was one of ten icons (in the Chinese entertainment industry) chosen to front the magazine’s 10th Anniversary Icon Series.
Looking amazing in Prada on the cover of Marie Claire China.
As an international star, Ziyi often rubs shoulders with other top celebrities like Leonardo DiCaprio.
She’s also had fashion houses queueing up to dress her. For example, who could forget this stunning custom qipao-inspired gown from the House of Herrera that she wore to the Met Gala last year (2015)?
At Armani’s 40th anniversary celebrations in Milan with the Editor-in-Chief of Vogue China, Angelica Cheung.
And of course, she was also spotted with Korean heart-throb Song Joong-Ki.
Song Joong-Ki even got to carry Xing Xing!
The multi-faceted actress can often be spotted in rather daring fashion design creations.
But beneath all the glitz and glamour, is simply a loving mum who thinks the world of her child.
Ending off with a photo of the happy family!
