There are supermodels, and then there’s Gisele Bundchen. In an industry where short-lived careers are the norm, she has stayed on for more than two decades and is one of the high paid models today still. She has since traded her catwalk heels to be a mom to to her two kids with husband Tom Brady, but she’s still actively modelling and raising money for good causes and charity, hence she’s our mum crush of the week.
She recently stunned in a back-baring, form-fitting grey dress that showed off her curves and tan perfectly at the 2017 Met Gala , where she and Tom were co-chairs together with Anna Wintour, Katy Perry, Pharrell Williams and Caroline Kennedy. We bet she turned more than a few heads.
You know you have made a name for yourself when your picture is projected on New York’s Empire State Building like Gisele’s was in April 2017 as part of Harper’s Baazar’s 150th anniversary.
Of course, like any other famous supermodel, she’s been the face of brands such as Chanel, is pals with the most sought-after designers, and has graced the cover of numerous fashion magazines around the world.
Having been in the industry since she was 14, Gisele announced her retirement from the runway in 2015, and that she would still be in the industry, just playing a different role.
Since she’s ‘retired’, she’s been able to spend more time with her kids – seven-year-old Benjamin and four-year-old Vivian, and of course, her hubby. From the looks of it, she’s loving every moment she gets to spend with them.
The pair have been together for eight years and counting, and she’s always been supportive of her other half.

Even when she was still modelling full time, she was never one to let work get in the way of motherhood. Just check out this photo of her breastfeeding while getting hair, makeup and nails done – that’s what we call a multi-tasking mum.
Despite her fame, Gisele remains down to earth, and uses her fame for good. The animal and nature lover regularly uses her Instagram account to share the importance of conservation and love to her 12 million followers. Be it Earth Day, International Women’s Day or World Wildlife Day, her love for all things big and small can be felt through her feed.
A mama who always looks great, is in love with her husband and kids, and has a heart full of love, we can’t wait to see what Gisele does next.
