I thought so too and decided to give it a shot to see if it lives up to its claim.
As it turns out, the Cake Factory is very suitable to get children baking and my two kids, aged 5 and 7 were excited to give it a go when I first unboxed the set. With the included baking molds for pie, cake, and muffins, and with the included recipe book, you are on your way to creating yummy bakes that would go well with your festive feasts. Pro tip: There are tons of videos on Youtube of various recipes that you can replicate too.
I love that the controls are simple and straightforward. Toggle between the plus and minus buttons to select from the five programmes. If you prefer using the manual mode, choose a temp from 40 degrees celcius to 240 degrees celcius, while cooking time spans from 2 to 120mins.
Generous in functions yet compact in size that makes it easy to store, this all-in-one baking appliance was easy to use and made me think that perhaps I could have a good start to my baking journey. Another plus point is the cool touch handles that ensure it’s safe for my young ones. My children remarked how convenient it was to just press a button, walk away and come back to fresh bakes once it’s done. Over the weekend, we used it daily and made muffins, cupcakes and meringues.
Needless to say, it’s a great addition to my kitchen and we’ll be using it more to master more recipes. The kiddos tea break snacks are all sorted for now.
