Tom Fletcher is our daddy crush this week. Blessed with the gift of songwriting, Fletcher is part of UK band McFly – he married his childhood sweetheart Giovanna Fletcher and together they have two adorable little boys, Buzz and Buddy.
Tom Fletcher has been part of McFly since the beginning and has co-written many UK number one singles for the band such as ‘Five Colours In Her Hair’, ‘Obviously’ and ‘All About You’. He has also written for UK artistes One Direction, The Vamps and 5 Seconds of Summer.
With all the recognition he has received as an amazing songwriter; he was asked to write an official song for the mascots of the London Olympics 2012 titled, ‘On A Rainbow’. The song featured vocals by him and sister, Carrie Fletcher.
Fletcher together with youngest band member, Dougie Poynter, released their first children’s book, ‘The Dinosaur That Pooped Christmas’ in 2012. He went on to publish ‘The Christmasaurus’, ‘There’s A Monster In Your Book’ and ‘The Creakers’.
He met his wife British author and YouTuber, Giovanna Fletcher, when they were 13 years old and have been together ever since 18. He switched up the lyrics from Mcfly songs and sang them as his speech. It went viral, with over 19 million views on Youtube.
In 2014, they welcomed their first child, Buzz Fletcher and then later, Buddy Fletcher in 2016. The Fletchers are a family loving bunch and embrace the weird with open arms. When not on tour, the quartet take family togetherness very seriously.
When he’s not rocking out with his band, he is rocking out with the kids! Who knows? We may have another rock star from the Fletcher family.
Rumour has it that they are expecting their third child.. fingers crossed!
