Sir Mick Jagger, rock legend and co-founder of the iconic Rolling Stones, has certainly an eventful few weeks — at the ripe old age of 73, his band just released Blue and Lonesome, their first studio album in over a decade.

Happy birthday @martinscorsese_!

And the rockstar even found time to welcome his eighth child into the world, whom he had with ballerina Melanie Hamrick. Fun fact, his newest son is already a great-grand-uncle!

The granddaddy of rock and roll started his career five decades ago, with childhood friend and fellow band mate Keith Richards (they were initially known as the Glimmer Twins). And boy, have they come a long way since then!

His career has brought him to many places, in the Stones’ own private jet, no less.

We wonder how it feels like to walk down the streets of New York to discover someone (or in this case ‘something) covering your song.

Seen on the New York City sidewalk, a cuddly cover of Start Me Up.

He counts late fellow legend David Bowie as one of his friends, and looks up to the late BB King.

So sad to hear of BB King’s passing, he was someone we all looked up to…

Fitting the stereotype of being the most famous rocker probably in modern history, Mick has a long list of past relationships, but has only been divorced and married once!

One thing we find extremely sweet though is his sentimental side. Just look at how he pays tribute to late girlfriend L’Wren Scott on her birthday. Mick was in a relationship with L’Wren for 13 years, and by the looks of it he loved her a lot.

Did you know that Mick Jagger was knighted Sir Michael Jagger in 2003, for Services to Music?

Thanks to everyone that has been so enthusiastic about #blueandlonesome now it's out there !

He’s one of the most controversial rockers out there, but there’s no doubt that Mick is a dad crush in his own right!
