Dad Crush Monday: Chris Pratt

Between filming and promoting his new projects, Chris Pratt has been on the road for the past 14 months. He recently managed to get some much-needed family time with wife Anna Faris and son Jack. With three major motion pictures — The Magnificent Seven, Passenger and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 — coming out, Chris is one of the most in-demand actors in Hollywood, but he does not let that deter him from being a great husband and father and one of the reasons why he’s our dad crush of the week! When he made a Donald Duck pancake for Jack, the little one wasn’t impressed. But despite that, he turned the situation around, filmed Jack’s reaction and did not let it get to him:

We have always wanted to try a Quilceda Creek cabernet. A Pacific Northwest wine that scores 99-100 in all those wine magazines. The vineyard is about 20 minutes from where we grew up and I've never had it. Anyways. I don't know shit about wine. But GOD DAMN this woman is good lookin' and the wine sure tastes good as well. This morning Jack found a rainbow on the wall. I honestly couldn't figure out where it was coming from which according to science means it's some sort of portal. You ever see Stargate? Exactly. We were careful not to get too close. I snapped this photo and it dawned on me how much Jack looks like Anna. They are both so beautiful. Sleeping in with the two of them is my greatest treasure.

Chris is an avid fisherman as well, and you can often see photos of him holding fish he caught during his downtime:

Throwback from the set of #magnificent7 They have huge bass down in Louisiana!!!! I wanted to post this photo last year from set but couldn't because i was wearing wardrobe and for some reason they won't let you post pics on Instagram when you're in wardrobe, I don't know, cause of spoilers? But seriously who's looking at my hat and vest!? Look at this big ass bass!!! And more importantly the $20 zebco pushbutton Walmart special I used to haul it in anyways bass fishing is the best and got see Mag 7 in September!!! There you go. Got the bass fishing audience.

Rounding off the reasons as to why Chris is our dad crush of the week is the speech that he made during the March of Dimes luncheon back in 2014 about Jack’s premature birth. Wife Anna also regularly gushes about how amazing a dad he is, saying Chris is “strict, but he’s also incredibly fun, incredibly loving. It’s so amazing to see that moment that Chris comes home from work and Jack is like, ‘Daddy!'” Doesn’t that just make you swoon?

Humorous, down-to-earth, and good genes to boot. When you’re married to one of Hollywood’s funniest ladies, we’re sure there’s never a dull day at home. Chris gets to come home to his picture perfect wife and kid and we think he deserves every bit of it! We can’t wait to catch him in his new movies soon.
