Don’t we all wish that we could have an army of stylists, like those that you’ll find at Fashion Week, to keep us looking on point and fashionable at all times. It’ll definitely be most welcome, especially during the hectic mornings where we are rushing to get ourselves and our little munchkins ready for the day.

While having personal stylists may be an unreachable dream, looking on trend is not, and we’ve picked out beauty looks from the runway that even busy mums can easily incorporate into their everyday style.

Undone

This is one that’s bound to be a favourite with mothers – especially those who don’t have the time or energy to make sure their hair is picture perfect every day. Now it doesn’t matter if you have a few tendrils loose, or you don’t have time to blow dry your hair. In fact the messier your hair is, the better! Just towel dry your hair, or put it in a bun, and go about with your day.

This tousled look was seen on the runways of Alberta Ferretti, Ralph Lauren and Michael Kors.

Statement hair accessories

This is one that’s stylish yet practical as it keeps your hair out of your face – we all know how annoying it is to be chasing your little one around with your hair falling all in your face. Invest in patterned headbands, huge ribbons to wrap around ponytails, or decorative bobby pins and hair clips to jazz up your outfits, as seen at Altuzarra, Tory Burch and Gucci – just don’t use all of them at once.

No-makeup makeup look

Now is the time to flaunt what you were born with! All you need is a good two to three minutes, some concealer, lip balm and a bit of gloss should you feel like it, and you’re all set to go! Makeup artists for Fendi, Calvin Klein and Proenza Schouler all went with the no-makeup makeup look, showcasing the models’ natural beauty.

Coloured lids

If you’re feeling adventurous, splash some colours onto your eyes. Take the lead from Oscar de la Renta, Prabal Gurung and Wunderkind and play with different colours on your eyelids.  You can try out different variations – either two-tone, geometric shapes or just a bold dash of colour. This is definitely one trend for the outgoing mama.

Dark nails

Dark nails kept looks grounded and edgy on the runway and they are simple enough for busy mums to do on their own at home without having to visit the nail salon or endure the hassle of nail art.
