Centro's Dining Options at Shaw Lido

Redefining how guests eat, drink and gather before, during and after the cinema at Shaw Theatres Lido. Centro offers a vibrant social hub for connection, comfort, and great food all day.  Centro was created in consultation with the duo behind Wild Honey, Stephanie Hancock and Guy Wachs, blending modern Australian ease, global flavours and warm hospitality.

Centro has four distinct spaces all connected together, namely, Centro Espresso & Matcha Bar, Centro Grab & Go, Centro Restaurant, and Centro Cocktail Bar. Even better, Premiere Theatres has a novel dining programme new to Lido, where they can savour the best of Centro’s menu, including cocktails, from the comfort of their plush seats. Suitable for guests to spend a full day at Shaw Lido, they can enjoy morning coffees, late-night cocktails and is suitable for everyone, including families, friends or couples. All prices at Centro are nett.

Centro Restaurant

Overlooking Orchard Road, with floor-to-ceiling windows, the 50-seat Centro Dining Room features bespoke furniture, textured carpets and carefully chosen fabrics. These reflect modern Australian design’s relaxed elegance.

Complementing this is a menu that reflects the ease and freshness of contemporary Australian dining, having sourced the freshest ingredients from trusted quality providers like Huber’s Butchery.

Some highlights include starters like Barramundi Ceviche, Warm Brazilian Cheese Bread, and mains like the Thai-inspired spicy pepperberry pasta, classic steak frites, and hand-stretched pizzas. Treat yourself to sweet delights like the Sticky Date Pudding and the light Lemon Posset with pistachio brittle and blueberries. Prices range from $12 to $28, and also include a variety of vegetarian dishes. Open from 12pm to 12am.

Centro Espresso & Matcha Bar

At Centro Espresso & Matcha Bar, the first of its kind along Orchard Road, guests can savour cafe-quality beverages, essential especially with early-rising kids in tow. A refreshing escape from the bustle of Orchard Road, the space features soft green tones, Spanish tiles and a spectacular architectural ceiling filled with greenery.

Partnering with Toby’s Estate, the bar features two specialty espresso blends. First, Rico, which is a balanced espresso with flavours of honey, fruit and milk chocolate, great for black coffee aficionados. The other is Woolloomooloo with rich notes of dark chocolate, butterscotch and dried fruit for milk-based coffees.

Some signature drinks include Pomelo Oat Iced Matcha Latte, Salted Caramel Popcorn Latte and Spiced Thai Bubble Tea with Cream Cheese Foam. Open daily from 9.30am to 10pm.

Centro Cocktail Bar

On the sixth floor, overlooking the atrium is Centro Cocktail Bar. Designed with a burnt-orange ceiling feature, the space is perfect for pre-show drinks or post-film conversations. Open till late every evening, try the signature drinks like Director’s Cut – a gin-based cocktail with yuzu soda, or the Velvet Rope.

Guests can enjoy an all-day Happy Hour, with classic cocktails at $12. Furthermore, the space is perfect for intimate celebrations, small private events and media previews, and is open from 9.30am to 11.30pm.

The premiere Experience

For extra comfort splurge on the premiere experience, with two boutique halls seating 28 each. Within are plush leather recliners, individual tray tables and blankets. Each ticket also includes $15 F&B credit, which you can redeem at Centro Restaurant, Cocktail Bar or during your screening.

Choose from the extensive and exclusive in-hall menu and food service from Centro. Even better, guests can have their tipple of choice delivered to their seat. Prices up to $45 for digital and $49.50 for 3D (including 3D glasses).

For the Mini Movie Aficionados

While the above experiences, e.g., Premiere Theatres, are more suited for older, less wriggly children or date night for the parents, budding movie enthusiasts preschool age and under can also enjoy a wide variety of thoughtfully curated amenities and dining options.

Free Tickets for 6 and Below

For regular shows (G, PG and PG 13 only) before 2pm, a child 6 and under can watch for free with an accompanying adult. Additionally, they can enjoy a Ribena Popcorn Combo – 46oz popcorn and 330ml Ribena Cheerpack for $6.70.  Booster seats available outside the cinema for height-challenged little ones.

Dreamers at Shaw Theatres Lido

Alternatively, try Dreamers at Lido, specially for families with young kids, with two tiers of comfy beanbag seating. Choose from seats on the main floor or slightly elevated on the upper deck, and enjoy a cinema experience with calming colours, softer sound levels and gentle lighting.

Kids can curl up in the nooks or stretch their legs at the front of the cinema. Our preschoolers and toddler actually sat down to watch the movie for a decent length of time, before wandering into the nooks and around the theatre — and finishing all the snacks.

Toddlers below 90 cm can watch for free – on a parent’s lap, and up to $14 for children above 90 cm and below 13 years old, and up to $22 for adults.

Right outside is a restroom with a changing table for little ones, but do bring a portable potty seat for potty learning little ones. Otherwise, make a quick detour to Isetan Scotts’ level 4, for the spacious stroller friendly nursery. Within are two lockable breastfeeding cubicles, hot water dispensers, feeding high chairs, power points and three padded diaper-changing stations.

Play Areas: For kids with more energy, try Shaw Theatres at JEM or Jewel which have playgrounds and ball pits.

Centro Restaurant's Kids' Menu

If like us, you’d prefer your child to eat a more nutritious meal, try the Kids’ Menu at Centro Restaurant. Children can enjoy their comfort foods like chicken schnitzel with fries, fish and chips, pizza or pasta. Vegetarian options like margherita pizza and grilled vegetables are also available. Although the dishes do not contain pork or lard, Centro is not halal-certified. While parents get a much needed caffeine hit with coffee from Toby’s Estate, or matcha by the Matcha Project, little ones can enjoy a babyccino, or sweet treats like a popcorn sundae, or vanilla or double chocolate.

Centro's Grab & Go

Another option for moviegoers with little ones in tow is Centro’s Grab & Go. Rather than the conventional movie fare of snacks, choose from a curated menu of freshly-made, grilled sandwiches and panini, paos with housemade pastrami, hand-stretched pizzas or Italian meatball or butter chicken sliders.

Of course, the kids might want the signature choc top ice cream, or cherry chocolate or cherry cookies instead. All these can be brought and consumed in-theatre during the movie – although you may want extra napkins for the inevitable messes.  Open daily from 9.30am to 10pm.
