In Pictures: Homegrown Influencer Bump & Birth Watch

2017 saw many of our favourite influencers announce pregnancies and births – many spilling over to 2018.

These women are accomplished in each of their fields and inspire many of their thousands of followers. From the founder of a successful yoga chain to a funeral parlour director and Singapore’s very own female race car driver – these women have gone above and beyond; aiming for the stars.

Save for one, these ladies have become (or are becoming) mothers for the very first time and we wish them all (and their families) so much love and sweet kisses as they embark on their journey through motherhood. Congratulations, ladies!

I have to admit – I haven’t been doing any real parenting since Eli was born because we have a very competent and hardworking confinement nanny from @pemconfinementnanny. Not only does Auntie Choo Moi whip up delicious meals (you would know by now if you’ve seen my IG stories! Homemade mee hoon kueh omg ????), she is also very experienced with babies. Eli calms down quickly in her embrace and she shows him immense love and patience even when he’s cranky. She displays genuine care and concern for my postpartum recovery and as I did not follow traditional confinement practices, she offers alternatives for me to consider. It’s been a dream having her around and even though she’s been sharing baby caring tips and knowledge with H and I, we still have no idea how are we gonna survive without her when she leaves. Wish us luck as we step into real parenthood soon!!

So this little maggot came rather unexpectedly yesterday 2.35am at 11/01/18 with no warning . I went for lunch at 1230pm, by 330pm it was 0-100 with sudden intense contractions 2 Mins apart continuously, no breaks till birth and I hung in there till I barely made it to the hospital at 9pm. Man was I delirious, ask @yuey_Tan. The actual pushing out was EASY in 5 Mins. Crazy stuff!
