Celebrate Valentine’s Day with your partner and gift them thoughtful presents that are in tune with their love languages. Aside from the 5 core love languages, we’ve also updated this list for 2026. Now the list also includes digital detox quality time – no Netflix and chill – emotional intelligence, co-regulation and shared experiences.
Know Your Partner's Love Languages
Words of Affirmation
For Words of Affirmation, try Mondays Made‘s Notes to Self collection ($69). Some affirming phrases include “She believed she could, so she did”, “Make your own happiness” and “Slow down, deep breath, start again”.
Another option is the Signature bangle couple set ($90) from Made Different Co, or the Baylor collections ($45 each). Personalise the jewellery with messages up to 15 letters.
To include the whole family in this, cut up some heart-shaped cards in pink or red paper, and write notes to each member of the family, highlighting something you love about them. For pre-writing kids, let them stamp hearts or scribble whatever they feel like for Mama, Dada and Kor Kor.
Acts of Service
Treat your Acts of Service spouse to a place or activity she’d like to go to, and make reservations beforehand. Reduce her mental load by getting a sitter from services like NannyPro, NannySOS, Babysits or Meide.sg, or the grandparents. Next, prep the kids beforehand, and also pick up and put away some clutter around the house.
Another option is to order in from places like Saveur which offer takeaways for dinner for two. Other options include Asador, or the Marmalade Pantry, all available from Oddle. Alternatively, cook one of the meals from Fresher Meal Plans – a subscription service helps you stay on top of your fitness goals while reducing decision fatigue.
Other meal subscription options: Soul Delicacies, Empress Porridge and YoloFoods
Receiving Gifts
Give your partner – and yourself – the gift of better sleep, with SOVA’s luxuriously soft mulberry silk hyaluronic acid-infused pillowcases ($199 for two), which helps keep wrinkles at bay and hair frizz-free. Complete this with SOJAO’s men’s loungewear (from $48 to $80) , or SOVA’s pyjama sets ($169). Otherwise, treat yourself to SL Aesthetic Clinic‘s award-winning services to tackle some of the pesky skin concerns, such as pigmentation caused from pregnancy, dark eye circles from too many sleepless nights (thanks babies!), hair loss, body contouring and the proprietary protocol 6D Pro Laser Facelift. Prices from $250. Other options include Jung Beauty’s updated Phytopecia hair series (from $33.75 to $245.70), Lavien Collagen Professional Program ($197).
Digital Detox Quality Time
Set aside the phone, Netflix and spend the time doing something meaningful. Whether that’s on a staycation – or daycation – for two, or doing sports as a family, your partner will appreciate the undivided attention. Engaging in meaningful conversations and sharing experiences deepens your emotional bonds and strengthens the marriage.

For example, the Wonderland Upside Down dinner ($272 for two) is a 2h multi-room immersive dining experience, featuring a five-course Omakase meal inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Over dinner, meet the beloved characters, while feasting on curious dishes that include “toothpaste” and even take part in a coronation. Other experiences include The Magic Table ($480++ for two for 13 Feb), and Absurdities ($441.45 for two).
Explore classes through SG Culture Pass, such as Couplet Writing for Chinese New Year, Dragon Kiln Excursion and Pottery Workshop, and Matcha Set Pottery Workshop. Alternatively, try a Fragrance Design and Mixology experience at Oo La Lab. Prices from $138 to $270 for two.
Family Fun: Plan a catered picnic with Picneeds or The Duo Planner at any park in Singapore – preferably with fun playgrounds for the littles – or see the My Little Pony Flowers of Friendship at Floral Fantasy at Gardens by the Bay.
Physical Touch
Treat yourselves to a luxurious hair spa with TrichoLuxe Heavenly Head Spa. After an in-depth scalp assessment, the scalp experts will begin your head spa with a gentle, invigorating head and shoulder massage, before applying the detox serum. This potent Immunolock Serum uses nano spray technology and iontophoresis to detoxify the scalp and enhance absorption. Next, enjoy the deep cleansing treatment, using a micro bubble generator and specialised shampoo to clean out impurities. Following this, the scalp experts use a nano spray to apply the hyaluronic serum, which also restores the scalp’s optimal oil-water balance. Three more steps before the head spa is over: a herbal infusion rinse, hair elixir therapy and a peridot neck massage, concluding with a blow dry. This head spa can treat all hair types in private rooms, using professional Takara Belmont spa equipment.
Another option is a spa day at The Singapore EDITION, with the EDITION Experience ($380 per person). The 2h spa experience includes the EDITION Signature Massage, and a choice of a Queen Facial, foot massage, gold sugar scrub and a Moor mud wrap, preferably in the Spa Couple Suite (additional $100), with an extra hour of usage of thermal therapy.
Better Parenting Skills
Emotional Intelligence
Key to helping you improve the way you handle conflict as a couple, improving your emotional intelligence has several benefits. Some examples include better mental health, reducing stress and burnout while promoting self-awareness. This will help build stronger relationships, with increased resilience, that can translate to better leadership, decision-making, and success in the workplace. On a personal level, it may help your kids model better behaviour as they are watching and learning from what you do. especially how you handle emotions like rage, frustration, conflict and disappointment. Try playing games like Let’s Unpack This (up to $78), or playing active listening games like back-to-back drawings. Other useful gifts include gratitude journals like I am Well Wellness Planner ($49) and Journal, meditation apps, creative kits, experience-based gifts, weighted blankets, therapy-inspired art like feeling wheels, or sensory tools.
Co-Regulation
While not a physical gift, per se, this skill will come in extremely handy when the kids have decided to scream the house down for absolutely no reason, or engage in their 1,034th fight of the day. Start by identifying when you or your partner is emotionally dysregulated, and telling your partner when you are dysregulated. Finally, you’d need to calmly react to your partner, e.g., hug them, or offer to listen. This helps our bodies reduce stress, which in turn reduces its impact on our heart health. Additionally, as you regulate your partner’s stress, both reach emotional and relational equilibrium. Some ways to to do this include physical contact like holding hands and a hug, eye contact, reflective listening, breathing deeply together or offering help with a task such as bedtime. You could also do stress check ins on a level of 0 to 10, or practice some rituals of connections, like words of reassurance.
