Where To Go For The Best Christmas 2025 Events

Christmas Train Show At Gardens by the Bay

The Christmas Train Show is back, this time fusing the magic of a cherished American yuletide tradition with uniquely Singapore elements.

This year’s floral display unfolds on a much larger scale, with close to 20 model trains being rotated to travel along 145 metres of complex tracks laid in the centre of Flower Dome. The journey will see the trains chug along bridges, through tunnels, and even on overhead trails in the spirit of America’s holiday train shows, going past beloved American icons such as the Statue of Liberty, Grand Central Terminal, and the Golden Gate Bridge.

In celebration of SG60, a specially commissioned G-scale SMRT train built in consultation with SMRT will weave past miniatures of the Dragon Playground, Supertrees, and heritage shophouses, all handcrafted from recycled Singapore wood. This G-scale SMRT train is the only one of its kind here!

The train will even travel to Europe this year, specifically Denmark, bringing Danish Christmas to life with a towering 4.5-metre LEGO Christmas tree, a LEGO Nyhavn harbour in miniature, and a classic black and red locomotive reminiscent of old-world train journeys.

Close to 7,000 plants, including more than 70 plant varieties such as holly, mistletoe, cyclamens, 18 varieties of poinsettias, and 50 varieties of Christmas trees — some rising to 4 metres tall — complement the landscapes and fill Flower Dome with the unmistakable atmosphere of Christmas. Completing the look are four towering luminaries at 7.5 metres tall, which, when lit up at night, cast a warm glow over the trains and landscapes.
