Muesli bars are a quick and tasty way for children to get a mid-day energy boost. Here’s how to make them at home with very little fuss.
Melt peanut butter and maple syrup in the microwave on low.
For this recipe we used Arnold’s Farm Toasted Muesli in full o’ fruit, farmhouse and strawberry-licious. These muesli mixes came with a variety of dried fruit pieces and chunks of yoghurt for that all important burst of healthy flavour.
Mix the muesli with the warmed up peanut butter and honey until the oats are well coated.
Pile the mixture on a tray lined with a baking sheet.
Place another baking sheet on top of the mixture and use a cup with flat base to pack the muesli in.
Place tray in the fridge for a few hours. Once the bars have firmed up break them into chunks to store in a jar in the fridge.
Arnold’s Farm muesli is available in Cold Storage outlets.
