He’s best known for his portrayal of elite street racer and ex-convict Dominic Toretto from The Fast and the Furious film franchise and has played a myriad of tough guy characters, thanks to his action-hero physique. However, when he’s with his three children, he’s a big softie and you can tell from the number of times they appear on his feed that he’s a hands-on dad who is very much in love with his bubs.

Having appeared in seven out of eight films in The Fast and the Furious series, Vin Diesel has a strong connection to the film franchise, and it’s one that shows no signs of slowing down. Even back in 2016, he boldly announced the release dates of the eighth, ninth and tenth movie in the franchise, which means that there are at least another two films for us to look forward to.
Over the years, he has built strong friendships with his The Fast and the Furious cast members, and one of the closest friends he had was the late Paul Walker, who he affectionally calls Pablo.
When the 7th instalment, Furious 7, won awards, including the Favorite Movie award and Favorite Action Movie award at the People’s Choice Awards 2016, Vin Diesel received the award and paid tribute to his friend and co-star.
They were so close that Vin Diesel considered taking a year out of the movie business when he learnt of the tragedy that had struck.
He also fittingly named his youngest child, Pauline, in honour of his good friend. He shared that Paul once advised him to go into the delivery room and cut the umbilical cord of his baby instead of waiting in the hallway. Thus when Vin Diesel was cutting the umbilical cord, Paul was the only person he could think about, and he just added an I-N-E to the name.
I hear babies crying,I watch them grow.They'll learn much more,Than I'll ever know.And I think to myself,What a wonderful world…

Of course, The Fast and the Furious isn’t the only action blockbuster movie that Vin Diesel is known for. His other iconic role is in xXx, where he plays the main lead, Xander Cage.

He doesn’t just do action movies either. We got to see a softer, more comedic side to the tough action star when he starred in The Pacifier, playing a Navy Seal who had to master the art of diaper-changing, milk-bottle feeding while protecting a family from harm’s way.

He has also lent his voice to several films, including Guardians of the Galaxy where he was the voice for the lovable walking tree, Groot. Though he only had one line, he recorded that one line in 12 different languages.
Though he is known in Hollywood as Vin Diesel, his birth name is Mark Sinclair – Vin Diesel was a name he chose when he worked as a bouncer in New York City, a job he had before he got into acting. He took on his stepfather’s last name and trimmed it from Vincent to Vin. His active personality made him look like he was fueled by diesel constantly and so the name Vin Diesel was created.

Despite his busy schedule, Vin Diesel being a dad is his number one priority. Together with his long time girlfriend, Paloma Jimenez, he has three children – eldest daughter Hania Riley , who was born in 2008, son Vincent, born in 2010, and Pauline, born in 2015.
