Celebrities Who Keep Their Kids Out Of The Public Eye

Sharing cute photos of your children online and on social media seems to be the norm these days. After all, shouldn’t everyone get to see the adorable antics of your little ones?

No way, say the following celebrities who have been happy to share their personal photos with their fans, but not those of their offspring. In fact, they have chosen to keep that part of their lives firmly offline.

Kristin Bell and Dax Shephard

The actors are strongly against paparazzi taking photos of celebrities’ kids without consent, and led the #nokidspolicy campaign in a bid to convince media outlets that they should not use unsolicited paparazzi photos of famous-born children.

Dax also contributed an op-ed piece to Huffington Post after the couple’s first child, Lincoln, was born, explaining: “I personally believe, and I understand a lot of people differ on this point, that protecting her includes keeping her life private until the moment she decides otherwise. I think she is entitled to that. I think every minor is entitled to that.”

And they have stuck to this belief. Although they both have active Instagram accounts, neither four-year-old Lincoln, nor two-year-old Delta have featured in any of the photos. The closest photo we have seen of either kid is a long shot of one of them with Dax swimming.

Channing Tatum

Although Channing is a proud papa and has shared photos of his daughter, Everly, on social media, he has kept her face covered, either through ingeniously placed items or by only showing side shots of his little one.

The only time Everly has showed her face on social media was when mum Jenna Dewan Tatum’s posted a family photo on Snapchat — it disappeared after 24-hours.

I know I've got a blockhead…I never knew I'd have an actual blockhead for a child lol.

You’ll see many photos of the stunning actress but none of her little ones. The actress has always been vocal about keeping her children’s lives private and she played a key role in the passing of a bill in California State that protects the privacy of the children of public figures.

On 6 October 2016, she posted a photo on Instagram of her children without revealing their faces and was questioned as to why she didn’t show their faces. Halle didn’t shy away and explained: “It’s my job as their mother to protect their privacy as best as I can. When they grow and they’re of age and they want [to] share their images on the internet, that will be for them to decide, not me.”

The Grammy-winning singer has gone to great lengths to protect the privacy of her son, Angelo Adkins. She brought photo agency Corbis Images UK Limited to court over pictures that were taken of Angelo and her in June and November 2013. It was reported that the singer was emphatic that her son was not and must never be public property.

Hence, no matter how hard you look on Adele’s social feeds, you will find no photos of Angelo and hardly any mentions of him.

Joanne Peh

You would have seen pictures of her daughter’s side, back, and top view, but definitely not photos that reveal the little girl’s face. Even the name is a mystery and to the public, she’s just Baby Qi. In an interview with Simply Her magazine, Joanne said of her decision to keep Baby Qi’s life private: “She was born with both her parents in the limelight. We want to give her the freedom to decide if she wants that kind of life.”
