Whether it’s indoors for a virtual reality fun experience or outdoors for some water play or adventurous fun, here’s our go-to list of where you can bring the troop as you plan some bonding time with them each month in the year ahead.

Get for a wild adventure at the Mandai Wildlife Reserve Parks. Every visit to Mandai comes with conservation included as the organisation commits a portion of their revenue to support conservation projects in Singapore and across Southeast Asia. At each of their parks, you and the kids can experience feeding the animals, go on a private wildlife tour and enjoy animal shows. Head out with the kids and explore Singapore’s highest open-air panoramic ride, SkyHelix Sentosa. This one-of-a-kind open-air gondola gently rotates as it ascends 35 metres above ground in a gentle spiral motion. You’ll be thrilled to dangle your feet in the air and soak in panoramic views from Sentosa all the way to Keppel Bay area and even the Southern Islands! It’s recommended that you are hands-free for the ride so donning a crossbody bag or backpack (available at Motherswork) is the safest option.

If you’re looking for some respite from the heat, then Snow City’s latest attraction that stretches across a 17-metre snowfield is where you should be. Unpack your winter gear (or you can rent them from Snow City), and explore five thematic ice and snow art installation zones. You can book a package and feel like you’re truly on holiday as you enjoy drinks at the Ice Bar, have an elegant “daycation” at the Hotel Room, and snap some Insta-worthy shots at the Dining Room and Ice Throne. Tickets to the Ice Hotel Gallery are include access to the other attractions within Snow City like the Snow Field and Arctic Snow Slide. You might want to pack some hand warmers just in case!

Coastal PlayGrove is definitely for the thrill-seekers and families who simply love the feeling of whizzing down slides, lots of slides. Located at the former Big Splash at East Coast, the playground spans 4.5 hectares of play areas that cater to different age groups. There’s also a nature play garden for the younger tots. If slides are not your thing, then the four-storey vertical net play area with numerous rope-based obstacles will challenge you and the kids. The small water play area is suitable for kids aged five to 12 years. You can also pack some beach toys for sand play by the shore after the playground. Toilets are conveniently located nearby making changing the kids easy.

Plan a day out at Adventure Cove Waterpark with seven thrilling water rides, such as the Pipeline Plunge, that will definitely get your heart rate up, as you plunge down an elevated chute and careen across banked turns and radical twists, before splashing in a pool of water. Try your hand at snorkelling in the Rainbow Reef with the kids and you can ‘cuddle’ with 20,000 friendly fish. The Riptide Rocket, Southeast Asia’s first hydro-magnetic roller-coaster, is made for adrenaline-junkies, and if your kids are old enough, you have to let them experience it. Let your little ones experience a whole different kind of museum at the ArtScience Museum and let their imagination go wild within the 50,000 square foot space. A must-visit with the whole family is Future World, Where Art Meets Science, an interactive permanent exhibition that is created in collaboration with teamLab, a renowned interdisciplinary art collective. Kids are sure to check out ‘Slide through the Fruit Field’ so have them wear socks for hygiene reasons. Additionally, bring along hand sanitisers so that you can sanitise their little hands after they explore each interactive section.

Step into Forest Adventure, Singapore’s largest treetop adventure park. Let your hair down and be free as you whoosh across Bedok Reservoir on their 300-metre zipline. There are four adventure courses to choose from – the Grand Course, comprising of 34 obstacles and four giant ziplines, Junior Course with 26 obstacles and two ziplines, including one over the water, Kids Course especially designed for kids aged five to nine years old, and the 300-metre Big Zip. Rest assured that you’ll be kitted with sturdy harnesses, helmet armour and each course is monitored by professional guides to coach you every step of the way. Step into a new dimension and away from the outdoors at the newly relocated HeadRock VR where eight larger-than-life extreme attractions will transport you to the depths of a jungle, balance off the edge of a high-rise building or navigate crazed zombies. Step back into history and embark on a heritage trail of the countryside in Kranji or plan a trip to the farms like Jurong Frog Farm or Hay Dairies goat farm, in the vicinity. Also take a trip to Bollywood Veggies and explore Singapore’s very own farmland. You can also book a table at Poison Ivy for a refreshing farm-to-table meal. Venture a little further and you can visit the Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve that’s home to some of the world’s rarest mangroves! KF1 KARTING CIRCUIT
Singapore’s largest go-karting circuit, KF1 Karting, is located within the Singapore Turf Club in Kranji and an all-new track at Singapore Expo. While there’s no minimum age to race in the kart, kids should be at least 1.40 metres tall in order to reach the pedals. For beginners and younger ones, choose the Novice Race and those who are more experienced, the Advanced Race. As a safety requirement, you need to wear covered shoes.

For some family action fun, you have to visit Nerf Action Xperience at Marina Square that embodies the true spirit of Nerf in an arena packed with multiple-themed activity zones. You and the kids can navigate through obstacle courses, shoot hoops, kill zombies and play ‘capture the flag’. All participants must be 7 years and above to enter NERF Action Xperience and The Summit is suitable for those 1.3-metres tall and above. Rolling in the mud or more like driving through it has got to be a whole lot of fun especially for the kids! Mud Krank is the first and only ATV facility in Singapore and is suitable for kiddos as young as four years old. What’s even better is that they can ride a 4×4 without any needing adult supervision! Mud Krank’s mission is to provide kids and adults an avenue for better mental and physical health, improve self-esteem, relieve stress all while engaging in high-octane fun. Everyone will have to undergo a mandatory training session before hopping onto an ATV. Helmets, elbow guards and knee guards are available on loan, but it’s best to bring your own.
