The Royal Wedding: The Momma’s That Stole The Show

These mommas killed it at the Royal Wedding.

The week leading up to the Royal Wedding was rife with speculation about what Meghan’s dress would look like, who would be in attendance and what they’d wear.

The day itself was buzzing with excitement even from way over here in sunny Singapore – with everyone glued to their screens awaiting the breath-taking moment, Meghan would emerge from the bridal car.

This wedding saw the likes of British and Hollywood Royalty come together like never before and let me tell you, they did not disappoint.

Hollywood brought their A-game with their polished, sophisticated glam through close friends of Meghan Markle and other invited guests while Britain’s royalty and socialites showcased some timeless classics and spring florals.

In true Mummyfique style, we zoom in on some of the best dressed mommas at the Royal Wedding this past weekend.

Amal Clooney looked stunning in a Stella McCartney dress and matching hat. I’d have to say she was one of my favourites at the Royal Wedding.

Abigail Spencer, the beauty who plays Scottie on Suits chose a navy polka dot collared dress by Alessandra Rich, an unusual choice but she pulled it off.

Kate caused a little bit of a stir with her choice of outfit. Was it yellow, was it white, was it beige? Kate paired the Alexander McQueen coat dress (a dress she’s worn to other important engagements) with a Philip Treacy hat and a pair of nude Jimmy Choo pumps – looking like the timeless classic she is.

Carey Mulligan wore a pretty floral number by Erdem paired with grey pumps and a loose updo.

The mum-to-be wore a mint green floral silk dress by The Fold instead of maternity wear. The dress has been compared to a can of Arizona Iced Tea but we thing she looked fresh and pretty. She and husband, James are expecting their first child this fall.

New momma Serena Williams donned a curve flattering Versace dress in blush and exuded such feminine grace.

Looking quite different from her character Donna, Sarah Rafferty looked modern and chic in her dark navy Lanvin dress and matching fascinator. Loved that she went for nude shoes instead of a matching dark option.

A social worker and the mother of Meghan Markle, Doria Ragland wore a beautiful pastel green Oscar de la Renta ensemble with embroidered white flowers looking every bit the elegant Mother of the Bride.

IG: @costarellos

Gina’s dress was a lovely, cheerful number from Costarellos and a far cry from the Jessica Pearson we’ve all come to love.

Beckham looked polished in her very dark outfit from her own collection, an unusual choice for a wedding, but the bright pop on her feet was refreshing.

The matriarch wore a “delicately flared dress in lime, lemon, purple and gray printed silk” as described by its British designer Stewart Parvin. Her matching hat was designed by Angela Kelly.

And there you have it, some of the best dressed mums at the royal wedding of Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex. We wish them a lifetime of happiness.

If you didn’t catch it ‘live’, google for re-runs, so worth it!
