Teach your children to be confident and proud of their own individuality – that’s what the comedic and vibrant, Elmer the Patchwork Elephant Show aims to do. The theatre show is created by screenwriter and award-winning advertising copyrighter, Jonathan Rockefeller, who has also produced a stage production of the famous coming-of-age story, The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
Elmer the Patchwork Elephant originates from the picture book series of British writer and illustrator, David John McKee, and celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. The story depicts Elmer, a bright and colourful elephant who begins to conform out of fear of being different, but eventually realises that his peculiar appearance and personality are the reasons his friends love him all along.
The show runs on Thurs and Fri, 5pm; Sat and Sun, 11am, 2pm and 4.30pm at the KC Arts Centre – Home of Singapore Repertory Theatre. Tickets start from $42 to $62 but a 10% discount is applicable for those who quote the promo code, ‘ABA2019’.
