Families for Life ‘Celebrating NS50’ Picnic

Pack a picnic basket and head on down to Singapore Discovery Centre for the Families for Life ‘Celebrating NS50’ Picnic, where there’ll be a slew of army-themed activities for all ages. Try your hand at the NS50 themed games, give the bouncy castles a go, get dressed up as a soldier with camouflage face paint or tour the lake in a pedal boat. End the day by enjoying a screening of Boss Baby at the concourse.

Sports Hub National Day Fiesta

Do you and your minis love staying active? Head over to the Sports Hub on National Day to enjoy the many activities they have lined up. Form teams of five with your family and try out new sports, get your heart pumping with the Zumba & Cardio Blast sessions or give the carnival games booths a whirl. There will also be a live telecast of the National Day Parade on huge screens on the fields, and what better way to celebrate the nation’s birthday than amongst fellow Singaporeans.

Piece of Peace World Heritage Exhibit Built with LEGO Brick

UNESCO World Heritage sites from around the world are reimagined through bricks at this special travelling exhibition. Expect to see the LEGO version of sites such as the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Statue of Liberty, the Taj Mahal and Singapore’s first UNESCO site, Singapore Botanic Gardens. It’s a fun way to introduce your little ones to the different countries and cultures around the world, and when you have finished touring the exhibition, head to LEGO Kids Play Zone where there are LEGO-themed activities for little ones. You can also take part in the Brick by Brick SG community project and build replicas of Singapore landmarks and add to the installation piece on display.

Garden City Carnival 2017

A day of family fun awaits at the Garden City Carnival 2017 where there’ll be free food, games and prizes. Little ones can get glitter tattoos and balloon sculptures, and have fun at the playdoh station and obstacle slides. There’s also a lucky draw with many attractive prizes, so head on down this National Day.

The Handy-Craft Market by The Cathay

 

Relive your childhood experiences and share them with your minis at The Handy-Craft Market. Play old-school games such as Five Stones, Hopscotch and a super sized version of Country Erasers, and have familiar snacks that aren’t so commonly found these days like, muah chee and ice cream wrapped in bread. There will also stalls set up by local brands where you’ll find everything from skin care to jewellery. Expect to have lots of nostalgic fun at this 90s-themed affair and remember to grab your complimentary photo from the photo booth before you leave.
