Gardeners’ Day Out

Spend Saturday morning amongst nature at the Gardeners’ Day Out. The minis can participate in the storytelling and craft session or join the Garden Walk to learn more about plants and how to start their own garden. There’s also a Junior Butterfly Explorer tour that’s perfect for tots who are curious about these beautiful winged creatures. For the grown-ups, there are workshops on growing herbs and vegetables in your kitchen and making your own homestyle sauces and dressings.

Sports Hub Community Play Day

Get moving at the Sports Hub Community Play Day where there’ll be sporting activities and carnival games galore for the whole family. Tackle the Family Warrior Challenge’s inflatable obstacle course or take part in the Fun Stepper challenge by scaling the steps at the National Stadium. The national basketball team, Singapore Slingers, will also be there to show off their basketball prowess.

Precious Eggs: Of Art, Beauty and Culture 

Bring junior down to the Precious Eggs: Of Art, Beauty and Culture exhibition to learn more about how the ordinary egg has influenced artists and craftsmen through time. Featuring a collection of 148 precious eggs from the Liechtenstein National Museum, your little ones will find historical pieces like the Russian Imperial porcelain eggs, Fabergé egg pendants and other art pieces using materials ranging from crystal to horn.

English Puppet Show by Children Puppet Castle

Catch the puppet story telling session this weekend at Marine Parade Public Library by veteran puppeteer and founder of the Children Puppet Castle, Mr Christopher Chow. He will be presenting two stories, Who Can Call Back the Sun? and The Three Evils and after his performance, little ones will be invited to experience the art of puppeteering for themselves.
