Founders’ Picks 3: Our Favourite Finds This Week

By Mummyfique

In this new column, the Mummyfique founders highlight some of their favourite product finds that they’ve come across — some stylishly desirable, some useful, and some that they just think are must-haves because they’re fun!

Dolores Au: Tiffany & Co. Pearl NecklaceP1200270

Say what you will.  Nothing brings a sparkle to a woman’s eyes faster than a surprise gift in an iconic blue box. Well,  maybe an iconic orange or red box — but this week, Tiffany & Co. takes centre stage with my pick of this lovely Ziegfeld Collection necklace of freshwater cultured pearls that’s 96 inches, with pearls in 7 to 8mm.  The Ziegfeld collection is inspired by the lavish elegance of the 1920s Jazz age and this is one classic piece that’ll easily take this busy mama from day (work and school runs) to night (entertainment and party).  Thank you, dear husband!

Gidania Wong:Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipsticks

I’m always on the lookout for quick beauty fixes and long lasting options because as we all know, it’s almost impossible to touch up your makeup with a mini in tow. Enter the new Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet lipstick to the rescue!

‘Bold, matte and long-lasting colour with 24hr hold,’ was the promise and boy, did it deliver! Its lightweight, velvety texture and non-drying formula gives extreme comfort that doesn’t smudge! Bonus points for the wide range of hues to choose from. I was so excited at my find that I grabbed three pieces at a go. From sassy reds to vibrant pinks and everyday nudes there is a colour to suit every occasion.

$20, from Watsons.

Melissa Lwee-Ramsay: SIX Fine Fragragrances

1724-puka-mood

I try to support as many local brands as possible with my purchases so when I recently came across a new fragrance label in Singapore called SIX, I was really excited. Started by Jason Lee, who previously worked at Givaudan, a global leader in fragrance creation, the artisanal label launched with three travel-inspired scents, 123 TRIBECA, 1742 PUKA and 27°F BIEI, My favourite is the 1742 PUKA, a fresh yet romantic smelling concoction that evokes memories of Puka, the stretch of marzipan-white beach in Boracay. It’s giving this mama a serious case of resort wanderlust!

SIX fine fragrances are available in 20ml bottles (S$66) and a collectible gift box of three 3ml mini bottles (S$26 a set). To purchase, please visit Trixilini at Scotts Square (6 Scotts Road, #03-08/09, Singapore 228209), The Redundant Shop (9 Raffles Boulevard, #01-71/72, Singapore 039596), or online here.
